Good questions, straight answers
What our plumbing costs
Is the $0 call out fee genuine?
Yes, the call out fee really is $0, so a plumber comes out, looks at the job and writes you a quote at no charge, and you decide from there with nothing owed.
How do you price a job?
Every job is quoted as one fixed price in writing before work starts, based on what the plumber finds on site, so the price you approve is the price you pay, with nothing added later.
Do you charge more at night or on weekends?
No, there are no overtime rates here, so a burst pipe attended at midnight on a Sunday is priced exactly the same way as the identical job booked on a weekday morning.
What if I decide not to go ahead after the quote?
That is completely fine and you owe nothing for the visit or the quote, because the $0 call out fee means you are never tied to work you have not agreed to.

Licensing, insurance and guarantees
Are your plumbers licensed and insured?
Yes, every job is carried out under licence #275278C and fully insured, and the certificates that keep your home's paperwork in order are provided with the invoice, not left for you to chase.
What does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?
Our workmanship is guaranteed for life, so should any repair or installation we carry out prove faulty in how it was done, we make it good again on a later visit at our own cost.
Do I get paperwork for gas and compliance work?
Yes, any job that needs a compliance certificate, gas work included, comes with the correct paperwork completed and supplied, so your records stay in order without you having to ask.

The plumbing problems we see here
Why do the older homes here keep getting blocked drains?
Many houses date to the 1940s to 70s and run vitrified clay drains, and the big established gardens push tree roots into the joints, the most common cause of recurring blockages across the suburb.
Our water pressure has dropped over the years, why?
In detached homes built before the 1970s the original galvanised steel supply pipes corrode and narrow from the inside, slowly choking the flow, and we can renew the affected runs in stages or all at once.
Can the clay drains be fixed permanently, or just cleared?
They can be fixed for good, because after we camera the line and clear it we can reline the failed section from the inside, leaving roots nothing to grip so that stretch stops blocking.
Why does our storm drain overflow in heavy rain?
Heavy summer storms bring more runoff than the older stormwater pipes can take, and where the land falls toward Gannons Park and Boggywell Creek the pits and gullies surcharge and back up fast.
How long do the hot water systems here usually last?
The post-war and 1960s to 80s housing means many storage units are already beyond their working life, so a cylinder heating fine today can fail on the first cold night without much warning.

Booking, timing and coverage
How quickly can you get to me?
The phones are answered around the clock, and we aim to reach urgent jobs the same day, giving you a realistic arrival window when you call instead of leaving you guessing all afternoon.
Do I need to be home while you work?
For most outside work an open path to the yard is all we need, while indoor jobs need someone home to let the plumber in and sign off the price before we start.
Which suburbs do you cover?
We cover the whole of the local area and the adjoining Georges River suburbs on identical terms, namely Mortdale, Riverwood, Lugarno, Penshurst and Peakhurst Heights, wherever a job comes up.
What should I do in a plumbing emergency before you arrive?
Turn the water off at the meter for a burst or leak, or if you smell gas get everyone outside and phone from there, and we will talk you through the rest on the call.
